A Front-Load Washer That Gets It Right,

I™™m very happy with my GE Profile 5.3 cu. ft. Smart Front Load Washer. The large capacity is fantastic and easily handles bulky loads, bedding, and towels without feeling overcrowded. Stain removal has been effective even with grease. Clothes come out clean and fresh, and the washer is impressively quiet, even during the spin cycle. One of my favorite features is the UltraFresh Vent System+. Anyone who has owned a front-load washer knows that moisture and odors can be a concern, and this feature makes a noticeable difference. I appreciate not having to worry about the washer developing that musty smell that can sometimes happen with front loaders. The smart features are also very convenient. There are plenty of cycle options, the controls are easy to use, and I like being able to monitor the washer without constantly checking to see whether the cycle has finished. WIFI is an added bonus! The combination of the large 5.3 cu. ft. capacity, ENERGY STAR efficiency, smart technology, and UltraFresh system makes this washer a great choice. It feels like GE really thought about the common frustrations people have with front-load washers and designed features to address them. I would definitely recommend this washer to anyone looking for a spacious, efficient, modern front-loader. So far, it has been an excellent addition to our home!

Very Disappointed with GE Profile

Very Disappointed with GE Profile I purchased a GE Profile front-load washer about two and a half years ago, expecting a high-quality and reliable appliance from a well-known brand. Unfortunately, I am extremely disappointed. After only 21/2 years of normal use, the door lock has failed and the washer is now completely stuck locked. Beyond the door lock issue, there is a clear electronic failure that renders the entire machine completely unresponsive, making it impossible to perform any cycle or operation. I have followed all recommended troubleshooting steps, including disconnecting the machine from power and checking the drain filter, but the problem remains. For a washer of this price tag and supposed quality, I find it unacceptable that critical components fail in such a short amount of time. The advertised 10-year warranty only covers the motor, which provides no relief when other essential electronic and mechanical systems fail so soon. This experience has seriously damaged my confidence in GE Profile appliances. I hope GE takes responsibility for the quality of its products and provides a reasonable solution for customers experiencing these premature failures. Very disappointing. I expected much better from GE Profile.

First off, huge thank you to GE Profile for sending this over in exchange for my thoughts. ™I have done a few loads in this already, and it is so easy to use. I tossed in big comforters, sheets, towels, dirty work clothes, and regular clothes. The console looks a little intimidating when you first look at it, but it is so simple. You have quick start buttons to pick your laundry type and go, or you can adjust every single setting to whatever you want. Want the water hotter or colder? Just tap a button. Want a shorter cycle or need to adjust the spin? No problem at all. My clothes come out looking like I took them straight to the dry cleaner. Loading and unloading is super easy with the huge door that you don't have to fight to stay open. ™A few things I am loving so far: ™Smart Dispenser: You can load up the reservoir with your liquid detergent and it automatically dispenses the right amount for up to 50 loads. ™The App: It lets you control your washer and see what is going on with your cycle at all times right from your phone. ™Scheduled Start: So handy if you want to throw laundry in before you leave the house and not have it sitting wet all day. You schedule it to start before you get home, and it finishes right as you walk in. ™Power Steam: I like to make sure my blankets are extra clean, and this feature gives them that boost to keep them fresh. ™Microban Seal Gasket: The door gasket has built in protection so you do not get that nasty front load mildew smell. ™UltraFresh Vent System: It dries out the inside drum so you do not have to leave the door hanging open. ™Massive 5.3 Capacity: You can fit giant blankets and huge loads without cramming anything in. ™The only downside I have noticed so far: The power, pause, and start buttons on the front are very sensitive. If you keep your laundry supplies right above the washer and bump into the panel, you might accidentally pause the cycle. No big deal though, because it chimes to let you know right away so you can start it back up. ™If you have a busy house, lots of heavy blankets, or just want your laundry routine to be simple, this washer is worth every penny.

failed main board

I purchased the washer less than 2 years ago and the main board went out and I had the board replaced. It cost $433.58 for the replacement service. For the cost of the washer and dryer set with pedestals, I was pretty disappointed and feel like this should be covered under the warranty. The board is only covered for the first year. This is not my first set of GE Profiles and belief this is a defect that should have been handled by GE management.

Nice washer with all the bells and whistles with large capacity. It is noisy on spin. A lot of clunking and they say that is normal. It spins for a few minutes clunking then I think readjusts. Spins the clothes really dry. After a year. it had a lot of error codes that I cleared after it locked me out. I had to replace the door switch. Only $60 since I did it myself. A service person wanted $450. Easy to take apart and get to the board and door switch. I had an older Kenmore (LG) that was great years ago. Then made the mistake of a Samsung that lasted 2 years after replacing the board 2x. My wife liked the soap dispenser on the GE. Things need maintence, hopefully it won't be much more than the door switch. WiFi is nice telling us when the load is done. Matching dryer is great.

Okay, I™™ve had this washer for about a month now and Im honestly impressed. The biggest thing? It™™s so quiet. Like, I sometimes have to double-check it™™s actually running because I can™™t hear a thing. Also love how spacious it is. Washing bedding used to be a whole ordeal and now it™™s easy. And the rinse/spin cycle does a great job wringing out excess water, so clothes come out barely damp, but gentle enough without damaging the clothes. There are also a ton of cycles options towels, bedding, delicates, sanitize, plus all the regular ones so there™™s pretty much a setting for everything. And can we talk about the AUTO liquid detergent dispenser? One less thing to worry about on laundry day. Total WIN! Overall very stratified and happy with my new washer.

I've been using the GE Profil washer for almost a month now and I am UTTERLY pleased! The washer runs smoothly, is very quiet, and there is no shaking or vibrating during the spin cycle. The washer's drum is big, and it holds a lot in there. You can wash bedding and comforters in one load without overloading it. If you have kids that are active and run through laundry, then this is the washer for you. It cleans brilliantly! The spin cycle is insane and the clothes come out partially dry,putting less strain on my dryer. I also like that i don't need to leave the washer door open between wash days because the Ultravent system removes the excess moisture, leaving the drum dry, with no room for mold buildup or odor. Thanks GE! This past week I tried using the Smart Dipense feature. I can say that it's very convenient and I don't know why I've gone so long without it. I'm excited to use the Smart app next. There are a lot of other features that I haven't gotten to explore yet, so i would suggest reading the manual. I am very happy and I love this GE Profile 5.3 cu. ft. washer!

I have been extremely impressed With this GE profile front load washing machine. The large capacity easily handles king-size comforters with ease, as well as bulky loads of laundry. The machine is very solid with how it is made. The door opens and closes with ease, it is one of the quietest machines I have ever had. This machine is great for odor control It has a ventilation system which allows for the machine to not get musty. The installation and assembly of the machine was very straightforward and very easy to connect to the app over WiFi, which has some really great convenient features and settings allowing you to customize each load of laundry you do with many different cycle options. One of my favorite features of this machine is the smart dispense that holds 50 ounces of laundry detergent that is automatically dispensed for each load. ï¿¼

After almost 10 years with my old washer, getting this GE Profile UltraFresh Vent system+ has been such an exciting upgrade! I honestly didn™™t realize how much I was missing until I started using it. The first thing I noticed was how quiet it is, even during the spin cycle. It holds a lot more laundry than my old machine, and everything comes out looking and smelling really fresh. I also love the UltraFresh Vent System+ because it helps keep the washer dry between loads without having to leave the door open all the time. The SmartDispense feature has been so convenient. I filled it with detergent once, and the washer automatically uses the right amount for each load. It takes one more thing off my mind and makes laundry even easier. I™™ve also been having fun with the SmartHQ app. Being able to check the cycle status, get notifications when it™™s finished and even download specialty wash cycles is such a nice bonus. It makes the whole experience feel modern and really convenient. The controls are simple, the machine looks beautiful, and everything about it feels premium. I am not exaggerating when I say this is the best washing machine I have ever used. It is incredibly quiet, easy to use and does a fantastic job cleaning. Having kids and pets in the home means we use our washing machine almost daily & this one has been wonderful. It has even made our old dryer work more efficiently by getting the clothes partially dry during the spin cycle. The venting technology is so nice because i don™™t have to worry about water build up causing mold. I could not be more pleased with this washing machine so far.

I wanted to give thus five stars but the technology issues prevented that. The Smart HQ app allows you to actively monitor your load along with reminding you when you have left your clothes in the washer. This is a great feature for busy adults or parents who from time to time forget to move their clothes to the dryer. Though I wish the app was more accurate and automatically updated to show the current washing cycle time. You have to close the app and reopen it for it to show the updated time left. Setup of the Smart HQ was relatively simple. Though I wish activating the wifi worked better and was a little more straight forward. The hold this button for three seconds didn't work the first few times I tried to set it up. Word of advice for anyone setting theirs up the first time. When you get to the final step of setting up the app it can take 15minutes. DO NOT close the app if you do it will not finish and you will have to unplug your washer to let the memory clear and start from the beginning before eveything will work.

Beautiful Washer, Unexpected Issue

Delivery, installation, and setup of my GE Profile 5.3 cu ft front load washer went very smoothly, and I absolutely love the look of the washer. The blue finish is beautiful, and it seems to offer a lot of great features. I wish I could say I™™ve had the chance to try them out, but unfortunately, on my very first load, the machine displayed an H2O Supply Fault and left me with a soggy mess.I was able to run a spin™only cycle to drain the excess water so I could move the clothes to the dryer, but still™"definitely not how I hoped my first use would go. Service is scheduled, though it™™s about four days out. Once the issue is resolved, I™™ll come back and update my review with how the washer performs. Until then, the mountain of laundry continues to grow......

It™™s here and is amazing! The capacity of the machine is good, I really like the options for add each product I want to add to the load, but the best on this section is that i can fuel the smart dispenser and forget to keep adding liquid soap in each load, that helps me. Don™™t forget use the remote control for checking the cycle. And the ultra fresh vent is perfect for when you forget your load is done, so don™™t stick with that bad smell. The only bad point for me is, the machine is on my second floor and I can hear the spinning part

I'm So Glad I Bought this Washer!

This washer is quite a step up from my previous model (not GE), and well worth the additional cost, in my opinion. No longer do I have to struggle against mold, and the gentle yet thorough cleaning makes our clothes and bedding feel great and smell fresh. Great product high quality! Set up a super easy to design is efficient and easy of use. It is not very compact but if it™™s the space perfectly, it has a lot of different cycles that you can choose from overall this washer is great. So far, so great. My GE profile front load washer is amazing, it has so many amazing features and multiple cleaning cycle choices. The cleaning cycles are all detailed with options that can be changed. It is energy efficient and such an upgrade from my last washer machine. The app that GE has keeps track of how much water you have used and you can get up to date notifications on the status of your wash. I would highly recommend this washer to anyone and hope everyone can own a washer machine like this one.

I have I have had three separate units delivered and installed and all three washers were leaking from the bottom not a problem with the install seemingly there must be some issue with the drain or the drain connection on the unit itself. I had to give one star because I was unable to give zero very dissatisfied.

Don™™t waste your money on this washer. It doesn™™t put enough water in the wash cycles to even get all your clothes wet and that™™s with the extra water enabled and only half loaded. If there™™s even a smidge of off balance then it wont spin. Just a garbage product. Save yourselves the money and buy a refurbished old top loader or a washer from any other company.

This is the second washer we've purchased in less than two years. The first one made it just a few weeks outside of the warranty period before failing. This was less than two weeks after replacement of the matching dryer that also failed. We weren't offered any assistance from the dealer or GE. We've owned several washers and dryers that have lasted several years. To have both "Top of the line" fail within weeks of warranty expiration is ridiculous.

Lasted great until now. The rear tub needs replacing which is just as expensive as a new one after labor is added. Our 5 yearHome Depot warranty we paid extra for expired 2 months ago and the 10 year warranty from GE only covers the motor.

Love everything about this washing machine, including the huge capacity, quiet operation and the choice of washing cycles. The best features are the wifi connection with the notifications about the cycle completion, and the tumble option to reduce wrinkles after the cycle, and the venting system to dry the machine after a cycle. The 20-minute quick wash option s is really handy. Last, it's very effective and takes out stains my old machine couldn't budge.

The worst washer I have ever bought! Purchased this in February 2026 and the day of install the washer poured water out of the back air vent. I contacted GE who submitted a locating request for Bodwell to come out and service. Bodwell was unable to service washer as I live to far away for them to honor the warranty. GE then tells me to get my own service provider to see if they can fix the issues, $135 later and they deemed this a manufacture defect that was unrepairable. GE called my service provider 5 times to even issue me a replacement and denied all my requests for a refund. 2 months later I finally receive a replacement and guess what! It leaks from the same air vent!! Called GE and again have to go through the same process all over again, call bodwell and wait 48-72 hours to see if they will service it, they wont. Refused a refund again, was told I need to find another product on the GE website that they will replace it with but if the product I choose is of lesser price they will not send any sort of reimbursement. I have lost all trust in GE and am contacting an attorney as it has been 3.5 months without a working washer!

I have had the washer for about one month, I love all the features especially the ULTRAFRESH VENT SYSTEM with odor block. The issue I have is that it is extremely loud. I have owned and used a lot of washers, unfortunately this is the worst and the loudest. It is located in my laundry room, off the kitchen, we have to keep the door closed when in use. The loudest occurs when the tub is filling with water, banging clunking and clanging in addition the spin cycle is very loud. On the front of the dispenser it has a label DBT Quite Control, when I was shopping I thought that meant that the washer would run quietly. I wish that was the case

We love our new GE washer. We love all the great features! You can put enough detergent in for a bunch of loads and it automatically dispenses it. Our last washer got black mold in the rubber ring around the door and this one has technology that doesn™™t allow a bunch of water to sit in the rubber ring. It doesn™™t seem like its ever going to mold. We also love how we can hook it up to our phone and it will notify us when the washer is done!

Beautiful decoration. Ordered this model PFW870SSVWW from Judd and Black on 03/06/2026 and that same day it was leaking from the bottom after washing one load. The leak appeared after the load was done and the whole bottom floor under the washer was wet. We called the store and they took this unit back that same day. On the 03/10/2026 we got a replacement of the same PFW870SSVWW unit, did a load of laundry that same day right after it was installed and this machine was leaking as well from the bottom just like the first one. This time we got a lot more water going on under the washer. Thank God all these happened right out of the box, because it would have been a lot more costly if it happened later on. We decided that was enough of leaking issues for us to return this front loader and decided to replace it with a simpler model that has less things going on. We switches to GTW525ACWWB commercial grade top loader. Sometimes less is more.

GE's web site sucks. We require a stacking kit and upon ordering there was NO option to select a stacking kits. So I wasted a whole day waiting for a delivery that I needed to reschedule because there was no stacking kit. Customer Experience failure by GE. Hopefully the product is better than the purchasing experience.

Ventilation feature is great for preventing mold. The smart features are nice for alerting when loads are done. The automatic detergent dispenser seems to often dispense too much detergent. More granular control for detergent dispensing would be helpful.
